Broker Consulting, a.s., ID No.: 25221736, with registered office at Jiráskovo náměstí 2684/2, Východní Předměstí, 326 00 Plzeň (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”), in compliance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2088 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on sustainability-related disclosures in the financial services sector (hereinafter referred to as the “SFDR”), hereby discloses information about sustainability risks in investments and their integration in investment counselling provided to clients.The Company takes into consideration and integrates sustainability risks in its intermediation of investment services or insurance-based investment products.
When providing investment services or insurance-based investment products, any Company co-operator is obliged to request information about the client’s preferences in terms of sustainability. The co-operator shall record any information regarding any potential preferences of the individual client with respect to sustainability, namely in the Investment Questionnaire.
When considering product suitability, the co-operator has the right and obligation to only recommend a product that corresponds to the client’s preferences regarding sustainability. The co-operator shall also provide the client with a description of the potential sustainability factors that were taken into account during the selection of the specific financial instruments. Individual sustainability risks have been properly identified, assessed and weighed against the likelihood of their occurrence and the severity of their impact.
These factors include, but are not limited to:
- Environmental risks (E):
- Emissions of greenhouse gases which may contribute to negative climate change.
- Water pollution which affect biodiversity and the health of local communities.
- Social risks (S):
- Violations of UN and OECD Guidelines for multinational enterprises, for example in the area of labour rights or ethical behaviour.
- Gender inequality which may indicate management problems or discriminatory practices in the workplace.
- Risks associated with corporate governance (Governance, G):
- Investing in controversial weapons which may involve ethical and legal risks.
- Violations of corporate social rights by multinational corporations, which can lead to loss of investor trust and reputational risks.
The co-operator shall take these risks into account when assessing the impact on the value of the investment and shall provide the client with an explanation of the potential impact of these factors on the client’s investment objectives and strategy (including an explanation of the negative impact in light of the information available from the creator of the financial instrument).
The co-operator shall not recommend a financial instrument as an instrument that satisfy the client’s preferences regarding sustainability, if said financial instruments do not satisfy the preferences in question. The co-operator shall provide the client with an explanation of reasons why he/she did not do so, and shall keep record of said reasons. In case no available financial instrument satisfies the client’s preferences regarding sustainability, and the client decides to adjust his/her preferences, the co-operator shall keep record of the client’s decision, including the reasons for said decision.
With respect to risk management and conflict of interest assessment, the Company takes into consideration the risks and clients’ preferences with respect to sustainability.
The Company’s remuneration policy does not create an incentive to offer products whose financial performance may be materially adversely affected by a sustainability event or situation if these risks are not adequately considered.
